Is the Meslo Windows Compatible, but non-mono version supposed to have normal looking glyphs? So I guess I'm just not sure what font I should be trying out. Also, when I try to select the font from a terminal, I don't know which one I'm using. So That means I can't install both of them at the same time. The thing is, when I open them with the Windows Font Viewer - they both have the same name: MesloLGM NF. I don't know which one I want to use, so I download and install both. So the second one is not monospaced, but is Windows compatible. One is named complete mono Windows compatible, and the other is complete Windows compatible. Then I see that there are two Windows compatible fonts. But DroidSansMono does have 'mono' in the suffix. I go to the Github page and download one and give it a shot.įirst of all, when you say "with the 'mono' suffix" - do you mean picking the font family? The flame probably cannot be any bigger, since it is expanded the proper amount already for this font. Although some of these icons can just be made bigger. Some of these issues are unavoidable with monospaced icons. And the segment separator (flame) actually expands the proper amount vertically. ![]() The home directory icon takes up a slightly larger percentage of the bar (still too small imo). It doesn't reach all the way to the top of the bar.Īnd even the home directory icon - it doesn't expand as large as it should. If you look closely, the segment separator is too small. Anonymice seemed to have the best sized icons. It's not dramatic, but because they are monotyped for Mintty compatibility, sometimes the icons just don't look as good in Windows. ![]() I tried these 4x, and didn't see such small icons. ![]()
